When you need to escape the daily grind and enjoy some fresh air, then time spent at Hinchingbrooke Country Park is the ideal way to unwind. Set in 180 acres of beautiful Cambridgeshire Countryside, the Park is easily accessible from both the A14 and A1.
It is a large open space for active minds to explore, whether by foot or bike or just simply park the car and head out. Building a den, watching wildlife, dipping for pondlife, sweeping the meadows for minibeasts, can all be experienced.
We have built relationships with regular, established users: Wildlife Watch, Dog Training, Park Run, Go-Ride, BRJ Run & Tri, Huntingdon Canoe Club, Foraging Course Company and HBKA Beekeepers to name a few.
There are several natural attractions within the park including two large lakes and Pine Avenue. Our rangers, Matt, Sam and David are busy with a small army of fabulous volunteers who continue to practise modern conservation techniques to provide a sustainable and welcoming site.
To complement all the exercise, you’ll probably want a little break. Well, we have the answer; a friendly, homely cafeteria selling an excellent range of refreshments from a cup of tea to a full English breakfast, all at competitive prices.
On site is also a Countryside Centre, which is a modern facility capable of accommodating up to 100 guests. The centre is available for booking throughout the year and can be split into two smaller rooms to suit the guest numbers.
We host a regular calendar of events in the centre such as, a bi-monthly quiz night, important occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, celebration meals and last but not least the Christmas extravaganza where we even have our very own Father Christmas!
